Facial Aftercare
★ Avoid touching or rubbing your face immediately after your facial. Your skin may be sensitive and vulnerable to irritation, so it's best to let it settle and heal. Focus on calming and healing practices and ingredients for the first few days after you skincare treatment.
★ Keep your skin clean and hydrated following the facial. Avoid harsh or abrasive cleansers that may strip the skin of its natural oils as it reacclimates. Don't forget to keep yourself hydrated as well! Drink plenty of water to support hydration from the inside out.
★ Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 24-48 hours after the facial. Some treatments can make your skin more sensitive to UV rays, so it's important to protect it from the sun. If you absolutely must go outside, apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher. Don't forget to reapply as necessary.
★ Refrain from using any exfoliating products, harsh scrubs, or peels for at least one week after the facial. Facial treatments often involve exfoliation, and using additional exfoliants too soon can lead to over-exfoliation and skin irritation. Results are highly driven by aftercare procedures. Be gentle on yourself!
★ Avoid applying heavy makeup immediately after the facial, if possible. Let your skin rest and recover naturally. If you need to wear makeup, choose lightweight, non-comedogenic products and avoid heavy foundations or powders. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about the comedogenic nature of your products.
