Spray Tan Aftercare

★ Be cautious around moisture! Avoid showering or getting wet immediately after the spray tan application. Moisture can cause the spray tan to streak, spot, or fade unevenly.

★ Honor your rinse time and do not keep the solution on for longer than directed. Not rinsing at the appropriate time will cause your tan to overdevelop, resulting in an unnatural orange or brassy color.

★ Wear loose, dark clothing and avoid tight shoes and socks. Tight or restrictive clothing can rub against the skin and potentially remove some of the tan.

★ When rinsing after your development time, use circular motions with your hand and water only! Do not use soaps, body washes, loofahs, sponges, or towels. It is extremely important to thoroughly rinse the spray tan solution off. Rule of thumb is to rinse until the drain runs clear, and then make a full body pass one more time to ensure the solution is completely rinsed off.

★ After your rinse you can resume normal life and in 24 hours you will be at your final color.

★ For showers after your rinse: Avoid using loofahs, exfoliating mitts, or harsh soaps as they can accelerate the fading process.

★ Pat dry when exiting the shower, don't rub: Gently pat your skin dry with a towel instead of rubbing it vigorously. Rubbing can cause the tan to fade unevenly.

★ Moisturize regularly! Hydrated skin helps to maintain the longevity of your spray tan.

★ Be cautious with shaving and waxing: Shave or wax before getting a spray tan, preferably 24 hours prior to the appointment. If you need to shave afterward, do it gently and with a clean, sharp razor to minimize exfoliation of the tan.

★ Limit exfoliation: Avoid harsh exfoliation methods, such as scrubs or loofahs, as they can remove the top layer of the tan. If you need to exfoliate, opt for a gentle exfoliant and do it lightly.
